The initiative to celebrate World Heart Day was taken back in 1999 by the World Heart Federation, the World Health Organization (WHO) and UNESCO. Since then, it has been widely celebrated on the planet.
But the fifth of September is Teacher's Day in India, where there are as many as one hundred and fifty million students! The figure is quite comparable to the population of several European or other countries combined. As in Russia, children come to school on this day in formal clothes, with flowers and gifts, and warmly congratulate their mentors and teachers on their professional holiday.
