The idea for the hat was found on the Internet without a description, so all the calculations and diagrams were made and found independently. The Butterfly pattern is more suitable for girls, but it can be easily replaced. The description contains a schematic structure of this helmet.
Having studied a dozen helmet hats on the Internet, their types and knitting methods, I chose for myself, as usual, the simplest option: the hat is knitted almost in one piece with one seam.

Materials used:

Amico bobbin yarn, 100% merino wool, 125m/50g, consumption 150-160g.
Circular knitting needles No. 2.5, No. 3 and No. 3.5, needle, elastic thread (optional), hook without handle.
The hat is knitted in several stages. Rotary and circular knitting is used.
Size 2-4 years (head circumference 50-52 cm). The height of the cap from the elastic band of the neck is 20.5 cm.
Knitting density:
1 cm - 2.7 loops
1 cm - 5.8 rows

Description:

Knitting starts from the neckline. On an auxiliary thread using 3mm knitting needles, cast on 110 stitches, join the knitting in a circle and knit 1-2 rows with knit stitches, switch to the main color thread and knit 1-2 rows with knit stitches (to make it easier to pick up loops from the auxiliary thread), then 5 cm (20 rows) with an elastic band of 1 person. on 1 purl.

Add 20 stitches evenly from the broach: (5l, increase, 6l, increase) x 10 times. Total 130 loops.

Switch to 3.5 mm needles and knit 5 rows with knit stitches. In the next row, bind off 33 loops for the oval of the face, then through the row (in the front rows) decrease four more times, 1 loop at the beginning and at the end of the row. A total of 41 loops are closed for the oval of the face. There are 89 stitches left on the needles.

The repeat of the butterfly pattern is 10 loops and 10 rows, the repeat of the butterfly is 5 loops and 5 knits. loops alternate in a checkerboard pattern.

Verbal description:
1) persons. row: close 33p, 1k, 5k, (5 butterfly, 5k)x8 times, 5 butterfly, 5k, 1k.
After the first row, turning knitting begins.

Oval face wrap

Using a hook and thread, cast on approximately 136 stitches along the right side on 2.5mm needles. The number of loops must be a multiple of two.

Knit one row with purl stitches, then 14 rows with an elastic band of 1l by 1i (3cm). Using 3.5 mm knitting needles, knit one row with knit stitches - this is the place where the elastic is folded, then using 2.5 mm knitting needles, 14 rows of elastic. The width of the finished elastic band is 3 cm.
If desired, use an elastic thread to crochet a chain on the inside of the knitted elastic band in the area of the fold.

The purpose of this elastic thread is to prevent the facial oval band from stretching.
Hem the knitted elastic from the inside out along the open loops.

Abbreviations:
1l- 1 front loop.
1i- 1 purl loop.
1 to- at the beginning of the row the loop is removed as a knit stitch, at the end of the row it is knitted purl.
2vl- 2 together facial with a tilt to the right.
2vlp- 2 together facial with a tilt to the left (with a broach).
3v- Slip 2 onto the right needle without knitting, 1 knit stitch and pull 2 knit stitches through it from the right knitting needle.
5 butterfly- Remove 5 knit stitches without knitting, stretch the thread before work.
4 butterfly- Remove 4 knit stitches without knitting, stretch the thread before work.
3 butterfly- Remove 3 knit stitches without knitting, stretch the thread before work.
knit a butterfly from 5 loops - for rotary knitting: 2i, insert the right knitting needle behind the work through the stretched loops and transfer them to the left knitting needle, then knit from together with the next loop of the purl row to make one loop, 2i.
for circular knitting: 2k, insert the right knitting needle under the broaches from bottom to top, then into the knit stitch from left to right (as when knitting a knit stitch) and knit the broaches from the knit stitch together to make 1 knit stitch, 1k.
knit a butterfly from 3 loops - for circular knitting: 1l, insert the right knitting needle under the broaches from bottom to top, then into the knit stitch from left to right (as when knitting a knit stitch) and knit the broaches from the knit stitch together to make 1 knit stitch, 1l.

Advice

When knitting with wool thread, I have long used the dry felting method when connecting threads from different balls. The threads connect quickly and easily, the connection point is absolutely invisible.
Both threads need to be divided along the fibers to a length of about 8-10 cm (Fig. 1), one of the parts of each thread should be torn off (Fig. 2), the threads should be overlapped (Fig. 3) and placed on the palm, rub the palms for 1-2 minutes each other.
For clarity, I found a picture.

When knitting two loops together, I knitted the first and second loops together using the back half of the loop, but before that I removed the front loops and turned them around (I knitted the front loops in a circle using the front half of the loop), so that when knitting two loops together behind the back half of the loop, the loop would turn around remained the same as in the other loops.
In each subsequent row, decrease in the same way, while the number of elastic loops between reductions will gradually decrease.
When there are 12 loops left in the work, pull the thread through them, tighten and fasten.

Knitting needles No. 3 and No. 1.5.

Description: on knitting needles No. 3, cast on 6 sts. Knit 1 purl. row. Next, we make increases in each front row up to 19 stitches (of which 2 are edge stitches). We knit all purl loops purl. We mark 5 main (raglan) loops near which we will add loops.

Add 1 stitch on each side of the raglan stitches on each knit row. We knit with 8 cm increments.

After this we knit in regular stockinette stitch. You can do it in a circle. In total, I got 52 rows in height and 140 loops on the knitting needles.

Next stage. We knit the back part and ears of the helmet cap. To do this, we knit 40 loops on each side from the back seam, and leave 60 loops on the forehead.

In each front row, from the back seam side, decrease 2 loops 6 times. I added a stitch on the front row and made decreases on each side. I started decreasing from the 6th row.

After decreases, another 10-12 rows. It's better to measure. Everyone's kids are different. I knitted 30 rows for the back and ears. We put off knitting.

We collect loops for the face. Knitting needles No. 1.5. 60 loops from the forehead, 14 loops on the sides and 20 loops on the chin.

We knit 1 purl row on the front side. Next, use 1x1 rib for 10 rows. If the hat is a single loop, we close the loops, if it is a double loop, we leave it on the knitting needles.

We knit a shirtfront. Under the chin, we cast on 20 loops from the front part and, together with the remaining loops, knit 4 rows in stockinette stitch.

Then we mark the raglan loops in this way. 23 loops on the front, 21 loops on the back and shoulders and 1 loop on the raglan.

Add 1 stitch on each side of the raglan stitch on every second row. We knit to the length you need. And if the hat is a single loop, we close it. If double, leave it on the knitting needles.

For those who knit a double hat, a helmet. The main part and the lining are knitted the same way.

Assembling a double helmet cap. We put the lining into the main part. We combine the raglan lines. We connect the parts of the two shirtfronts as follows.

We knit like a double elastic band. We knit 1 loop, remove the second (from another knitting needle).

Thus, we throw over all the loops on which we have the second shirt front. Then close the loops. We finish knitting the front part in the same way.

I got it like this. The photo shows the lining and the main part.

Crocheted hat - helmet - the work of Elena Svidruk.

You will need: acrylic yarn for children's products and a hook. Elena used 2 strands of yarn and a No. 3 hook.

Description

We start knitting a hat-helmet with “BOTTOM”. To determine its diameter, there is a mathematical formula d = p (circle length or head circumference) / π (pi-3.14).
We measure the girth of the head - at 9 months the girth is 44 cm, which means d = 44/3.14 = 14 cm, i.e. we need to knit a bottom with a diameter of 14cm.
The product is knitted with a half double crochet. Knit 5 ch. and connect it into a ring.

1st row: 2 ch. lifting, 9 half-steps double crochet

In each subsequent row we make an addition. Having reached the required diameter.

  • interesting selection for the site!!!
  • Children's hats, without adult models

We leave the face loops unknitted, we knit the working loops with fabric. Having knitted 5 rows, we expand the fabric. To do this, we divide the loops by 3 (I got 18 stitches) and double every 18th stitch - it turns out only 2 times (half double crochet, double crochet, half double crochet). We knit the required length:

We collect several air loops and connect the product into a circle. Next we knit in a circle. Having knitted 3 circular rows, we again begin to make increases.
