Hairpins made of foamiran are a very popular trend in needlework. If you already know how to make flowers from foamiran, then making your own hairpin will not be difficult. The whole secret lies only in securely fastening the flower. Hairpins with flowers made from foamiran are worn by young girls, mothers decorate their daughters' hairstyles with foamiran flowers, and hairpins with flowers can be woven into a wedding or evening hairstyle or used for a photo shoot. Nowadays, hairpins made from glitter foamiran are gaining popularity, but it is very difficult to make small flowers from this material, because... it's dense. I prefer the foamiran bow clips with glitter. I have already made them in previous master classes on foamiran. In this tutorial we will try to make our own children's hairpins from foamiran and hairpins with flowers to decorate any hairstyle.

Templates for hair clips made of foamiran with spring cherry blossoms

We take olive foamiran, cut out a strip 1 cm wide, a strip of white foamiran 2.5 cm wide. Cut out squares from pink foamiran measuring 3.5 * 35 cm - 5 pieces per flower, 3 cm * 3 cm - 5 pieces per flower . From white foamiran we cut out squares 4 cm * 4 cm for a cherry flower and 2 * 2 cm for a cherry flower bud. From burgundy foamiran we cut out 1.5*1.5 cm squares for the sepals of the cherry and the bud of the cherry flower. We cut out 1.5*1.5 cm squares from green foamiran for the flower sepals, and also cut out 2*4 cm rectangles from green foamiran for cherry leaves.

From white squares we cut out four-petal circles for cherry buds, from a large white square we cut out a five-petal circle for a cherry flower. Cut out sepals from burgundy and green squares. From pink squares we cut out petals in the form of droplets, and a strip of olive foamiran we cut out a small fence for the middle of the cherry flower.

Making flowers for hairpins with your own hands: step-by-step photos

We tint the pink petals with dark pink oil pastel on the bottom and end of the petal. Apply tint to the bottom of the petal on one side.

Take a five-petal circle and apply tinting with red acrylic paint in the middle of the petal circle. We apply the tint when spanking; for this we use a sponge or a cotton swab.

The tips of the sepals are burgundy and green and tinted with green and olive oil pastels.

We take a five-petal circle, iron it at silk-wool temperature, heat it, put all the petals together and twist it, then straighten it and pull it out with your finger.

We process the petal circles with an iron and help them close with our fingers.

We simply heat the sepals a little on the iron at wool-silk temperature.

We process the small pink petals on an iron at silk-wool temperature, then fold them like an accordion and rub them between our fingers, straighten and stretch them. Do not touch the top of the cherry petal and leave it grated.

Why is foamiran attractive for needlewomen? Perhaps, its cheapness and availability, durability and, of course, the ability to model wonderful hair products and more. This master class tells you how to make unique roses of different shades with green leaves, arrange them into beautiful bouquets and decorate the clips. The proposed color combination looks interesting and in itself attracts attention. And the roses themselves look tender and tender, like real buds.

You can also apply this method of modeling bouquets to boutonnieres; they will be used during the wedding season. It is enough to make white or pink flowers, even the leaves can also be white, then attach them to pins or leave them on clips as here - they are also convenient to attach to a jacket.

For one hairpin, decorated with a triple bouquet of soft foamiran texture, we will need:

  • a template for roses with a diameter of 4 cm or a hole punch of a suitable shape (the latter case is ideal for mass production of jewelry);
  • 4 flowers cut from pink foma;
  • 4 flowers cut from blue Thomas;
  • 4 flowers cut from white Chinese heat-resistant foma;
  • 3 double-sided stamens red;
  • 3 double-sided blue stamens;
  • 3 double-sided white stamens;
  • Thin bright green foamiran for leaves;
  • Figured mold in the shape of an oblong sheet (approximate dimensions 3*5 cm);
  • Scissors;
  • Iron;
  • Toothpicks or ear sticks;
  • Hot melt adhesive;
  • Felt base approximately 4 cm;
  • Hairpin clip 7.5 cm.

As you can see in the final photo, each foamiran bouquet is composed of three buds of the above shades. The proposed fantasy resembles a combination of the colors of the Russian flag, which is very relevant. The bouquets are also complemented with green leaves and decorated with stamens to match the roses. Using a template and scissors, you need to cut out the parts, using an iron, heat the soft foam material so that it deforms and takes a more believable shape, using a mold, squeeze out the veins on the leaves, and using hot glue, attach all the parts together.

How to make a decoration from foamiran:

Make a flower template with six petals, cut out blanks from sheets of each color. Be sure to make cuts between the petals in each soft flower, not reaching 3-4 mm to the center.

To create a wavy effect, use an iron. In this case, the fom was dense and heat-resistant, so there was no need to heat the sole to the maximum; the first position of the regulator was enough. Place each flower on the hot sole for a moment, then remove it carefully with tweezers, you will see how the petals curl up.

Also, use a pencil or stick to press each piece onto a soft sponge to give direction to the petals.

Cut half of the ear stick. Pierce the middle with the lower end and pull until it stops. First close three petals through one, then the remaining three. Glue the next layer and also direct the petals inside the bud.

Assemble a rosette from four layers.

The flowers will be miniature and lush.

Make the blue and pink components according to the same scenario, using an iron, a sponge with a pencil and an ear stick.

It is better to make the petals from thin foam; its texture is more pliable for molding. Based on the size of the mold, cut out a green rectangle.

Next, press the green fabric onto the iron. When working with molds, it is recommended to set the iron to maximum. Warm up the material, then apply the mold to it on both sides. Press to obtain the desired print. Wait for the material to cool, then remove the mold.

Make several textured blanks for decoration. If there is no mold, then you can use a toothpick for the veins. Only in this case there is no need to heat the fom. And the resulting leaves will not be so believable.

Trim off the excess and the sheet is ready. Cut out another felt circle.

Glue 6 leaves onto the circle, attach bunches of stamens, collecting multi-colored bouquets.

Flowers in hair look very gentle and romantic, they give the hairstyle a certain zest.

In this master class we will demonstrate how to make a foamiran hairpin with your own hands. The accessory is decorated with a luxurious mini-bouquet of bright roses made of plastic suede. Floral hair decorations have always been and will be loved by all fashionistas, regardless of age. If you have short hair, use a boutonniere for a brooch or bag decor. You can choose colors at your discretion and taste.

Preparing materials for needlework

In order to get a hairpin with foamiran roses as a result of exciting creativity, as in the photo, you will need:

  • white and green foamiran;
  • paints (pastel) of red, green, yellow, plum colors;
  • red acrylic paint;
  • round templates or glasses of different diameters;
  • scissors;
  • glue sticks and gun;
  • iron;
  • chocolate foil;
  • toothpick;
  • automatic hairpin

You can learn more about plastic suede in the section dedicated to working with this material. If there is no revolution, create.

How to make a hairpin from foamiran - step-by-step tutorial

Each flower consists of five round parts of different sizes. For the largest rose in the bouquet you need to cut out five blanks:

  • with a diameter of 7 cm - 2 pcs.,
  • with a diameter of 9 cm - 3 pcs.

For a medium flower, cut out parts from plastic suede with a diameter of 5.5 and 6 cm, for a mini one - 3.5 and 4 cm. The mini rose consists not of five petals, like the previous two, but of three.

Step by step how to make a rose from foamiran for a hairpin is shown using the example of the largest flower. Do the rest according to the same principle.

If you do not have round templates, then you can replace them with ordinary glasses with a suitable diameter. Turn the glass upside down onto foamiran and circle it with a toothpick.

Cut out circles, divide into pieces and cut.

Fold the petal in half and use nail scissors to cut off the corners.

Start coloring - creating the natural color of the future rose with all its tints. Draw the central part of each blank with yellow pastel, leaving about 1.5–2 cm from the edges, maybe a little more. Here it is important to fill this area not in the literal sense - completely, but leaving a little white, as if you were drawing rays from the center of the flower to the tips. Draw all the details on both sides.

Draw the rays in orange where you left a white gap, this is approximately the middle of the petals.

Carefully paint over the edges with red pastel, not forgetting the cut area. Shade with plum color (left view). Apply the green pastel with weak strokes over the yellow paint on the side that will be the wrong side (view on the right).

Preheat your iron to medium heat. Apply each petal one at a time. Stretch with your index finger and thumb from the middle of the petal, making it more convex.

Important! As soon as the foamiran cools, it becomes brittle and can be torn.

Place the tip of the petal on the iron (the shape becomes soft and pliable), twist the edge to the wrong side with your fingers.

Shape all the foamiran elements to decorate the hair clip.

Roll a lump of foil into a cone 1.5 cm high. Attach a toothpick inside it to the glue, which will need to be removed at the end of the work. Place the smallest piece on a toothpick.

Glue the petals one at a time.

Form the first tier with a bud.

Apply glue approximately to the middle part of the petal.

The first part of the hairpin with a foamiran flower has been assembled, but the master class continues.

Take the second part, put it on and start gluing it like the previous one.

The bud has become larger.

Glue the remaining parts in the same way, but apply the glue closer to the base of the petals.

The rosette is formed. Take out the toothpick.

Make the other two roses using the tutorial steps described.

Cut out leaves from green plastic suede. Four pieces are 3 cm wide and 6 cm long. Make the other three leaves a little smaller. Cut out three sepals for each rose.

Place the sheet on the iron, then use a toothpick to draw lines on the table that resemble the veins of the sheet. Heat the sepals on an iron, twist each leaf one by one and rub it with your fingers. Cut out a green piece of foamiran for the hairpin (see photo).

Once the roses are collected, you can add some color to the edges and tips of the petals. Take a small piece of a sponge, literally drop a drop of water on it, purely symbolically touch the paint with the sponge, and tap it on a piece of paper. Now use the sponge to apply paint to the petals using sharp movements. The photo shows in which direction the shading should be done.

Glue the part that was cut out for the hairpin using “Installation Liquid Nails” glue.

Collect a bouquet. Attach five leaves and a sepal to a large rose.

The leaves should not be located at an equal distance from each other. On the other side, where there is more free space, there will be the remaining two flowers. Glue the rose to the hair clip.

If desired, you can add greens. Cut green foamiran 12–13 cm long and 4 cm wide. Fold it and cut it into fringe from the bend side, heat it on an iron and rub it with your fingers, slightly thinning the material. Glue it into the bouquet.

Glue roses with small leaves, add a little more grass.

A charming bouquet of roses is ready to decorate a hair clip or other accessory.

Beautiful hairpin made of foamiran with a snow-white lily: master class

Lily is a delicate, amazingly beautiful flower, a symbol of purity and innocence. A hairstyle decorated with such an accessory will emphasize the lightness and freshness of the image.

The simple structure of the flower will allow even novice needlewomen to create such decorations. A lily flower consists of 6 separate, oblong petals, 6 stamens on long threads and a stigma. To make the petals, we use foamiran, and we make the stamens and stigmas from wire.

Required materials and tools:

  • Foamiran is white;
  • Hairpin;
  • Glue moment;
  • Knitting needle or dental stick;
  • Scissors;
  • Cotton pad;
  • Semolina;
  • White tape;
  • Crepe paper;
  • Pastel yellow;
  • Cardboard or thick paper.

Flowers on foamiran stilettos may differ in both color and size

To make the petals, you need to make a template from thick paper. The flower will not be large in size, so we draw a small, oblong petal 6 cm long and 3 cm wide. We apply the resulting template to the foamiran and trace it with a knitting needle or a toothpick. Draw 6 petals and carefully cut out along the contour.

Suede easily leaves marks from sharp objects, so using a pencil is not recommended.

For the petals you need to prepare 6 stems. We cut 9 cm columns from wire with a diameter of 0.4 cm and wrap each one in a spiral with white crepe paper. Glue the resulting stems to the finished petals, retreating 5 mm from the edge. Heat the iron until warm, and apply only the edges of the petals, slightly bending and twisting them.

The next stage of work on making a lily will be making the stamens. Let's prepare 6 wires 6 cm long, treating them with crepe paper. On one side, we bend the finished samples with a small loop in the shape of the letter G. Using semolina, painted yellow, we give the stamens a natural looseness. We dip each piece with a loop in glue, then in semolina. Our stamens are ready.

The production of a pestle is carried out in several stages:

  • We cut the wire 6 cm long and process it with white crepe paper;
  • We divide the cotton pad into 2 parts, and cut one of them in half with scissors;
  • We tightly wind half of the cut disk onto the pestle blank;
  • We wrap the resulting stick in a spiral with white tape;
  • Using the wide side, dip the stamen in glue and then in colored semolina.

We assemble the prepared parts into a flower. We place the pistil in the middle, place the stamens and 3 petals around it, glue the remaining leaves in between. We wrap the entire structure with white tape, cut off the remaining wire, and place a compressed small piece of foamiran on the “tail” of the flower. We insert the pin from top to bottom, piercing it between the petals. Your unique head accessory is ready.

Lily will be a worthy decoration for voluminous hairstyles, giving them airiness and tenderness.

Choosing a foamiran hairpin design

By decorating her hair with decorative pins, a woman wants to emphasize her individuality.

The design of the hairpin should be chosen depending on the hairstyle and outfit.

Properly selected flowers will complement the image and create a unique style.

It is possible to make a foamiran hairpin with any flower. Your imagination will tell you whether it will be a large rose or lily, a fluffy daisy or a small forget-me-not.

Nuances:

  1. It is important to remember that for large flowers you need a large hairpin, otherwise the decoration will not stay in the hairstyle.
  2. Small items will require more time and patience from needlewomen, but an excellent result will certainly please those around you.
  3. The choice of jewelry depends on the color and type of hair. A hairpin with a large bright flower will highlight dark-haired beauties. Blondes will be decorated with an accessory with delicate tones.
  4. The flower must certainly match the color and style of clothing. Lilies and orchids are perfect for an evening dress. For a woman's sundress - wildflowers and medium-sized bed roses. Very young girls will be enchanted by a scattering of small roses.

The main rule is not to overload, but to emphasize the image and style.

Small roses on foamiran heels

Small flowers scattered over the head or collected in small bouquets look very elegant in the hairstyle. Unlike large jewelry, small “stars” in the hair will be appropriate in everyday life.

To make small roses you need:

  • Foamiran of the desired color;
  • Iron;
  • Scissors;
  • Glue moment;
  • Hairpin;
  • Tweezers;
  • Foil.

Foamiran roses for hairpins are best made small in size so that they look harmonious
