I also knitted 2 blue ones for my son and husband. When choosing a model, they were categorical: this one! And I agree with them, this model is very beautiful. But, I’m not me if I don’t tie it in my own way. I really like double hats for winter, so these are double ones too.

I used Belarusian threads, 100g in bobbins, high% acrylic. In two threads (6 folds). Dark blue color. It took about 220g for two hats. Knitting needles No. 3. Hats with a volume of 60 cm and a height of 22 cm.

I started knitting with 12 stitches cast on from a ring of thread. On 4 knitting needles, I increased every second row by 2 stitches (at the beginning and in the middle) up to 108 stitches. This turned out to be 12 increases or 24 rows. The result was a smooth distribution of loops into 8 wedges. Next with stockinette stitch. When the lining became 22cm long, I made a row of purl stitches. loops for folding. I didn't follow the description exactly. I chose a simpler option for myself. I knitted an elastic band 1x1. When switching to the drawing, I simply added yarn overs on the side where the stripe sloped (before or after the front one). I always knitted the previous yarn over together with the knit yarn over. Tilt to the right - for the upper lobules, tilt to the left - for the lower ones (faces or faces crossed, to choose from). If you knit all the knit stitches crossed, the stripe will be sharper. I have both.

Maybe it’s easier for someone to knit according to the pattern. I'll show you my notes.

The pattern seemed very easy, I just tried to knit it tightly. In the photo I will show you it from the wrong side - the stripes are even and flat.

But I chose the front side. The pattern is very embossed. When light falls on the hat, the shadow emphasizes the pattern.

After the stripes I switched to 1x1 elastic. It closed with 6 wedges. Every second row at the beginning is 2 stitches. together. When there are 10 (8) sts on 1 knitting needle, then 2 sts. together 2 times through the row and pulled off the remaining loops. Lining 8 wedges, crown 6 wedges. But on the top of the head, when stretched, both canvases lay very well on top of each other.

My husband and son really liked them, and so did I. They look, in my opinion, cool.
